This week in research #56

Here's what caught my eye in research over the past week (another quiet week in the holiday period, it seems):

  • Kuruc, LoPalo, and O’Connor (with ungated earlier version here) use data from Major League Baseball ticket sales over the period from 1950 to 2000 to estimate the willingness-to-pay for a cooler day, finding that there is a US$1.53 utility loss per hour of exposure to high temperatures
